From September 9 to 11, the School of Mathematics and Physics successfully conducted orientation and entrance education activities for its cohort of 60 new master's students, who officially joined the Changping campus to begin their new academic journey.

During the orientation period, student volunteers provided full assistance, guiding newcomers and ensuring a smooth arrival and registration process. School leaders, including Party Committee Secretary Wang Lijun and Vice Dean Lin Chengyou, visited the registration site to communicate with new students and assess the progress. The school leadership also visited the freshman dormitories, showing concern for the students' adjustment to the new environment and encouraging them to integrate quickly.

On September 10, the new graduate students attended the university-wide opening ceremony. This was followed by departmental meetings where students had in-depth discussions with their supervisors regarding course selection, research directions, and career planning. Each class also held its first meeting, providing an opportunity for students to get acquainted and elect class representatives.

On September 11, the school organized special entrance education sessions. Secretary Wang Lijun delivered an ideological education report titled "Embrace the Mission of Strengthening the Nation: Being a Graduate Student in the New Era," encouraging students to align personal growth with national development strategies. He also introduced the school's history, research teams, and training systems. Subsequently, Graduate Secretary Liang Hongzhen and Counselor Li Chao explained key policies covering academic cultivation, degree requirements, research norms, safety management, and daily affairs, helping students fully understand the requirements of graduate study.

The three-day orientation has laid a solid foundation for the new students to adapt to graduate life. The school will follow up with further activities, including training for newly elected student cadres and peer exchange sessions, to foster a supportive and rigorous academic atmosphere.
