◇ Mathematics
There are currently 8 professors and 22 associate professors in the Mathematics Master's program. As of the end of 2023, over 300 graduate students have been trained, and there are nearly 70 current master's students. The employment prospects of graduates include continuing to pursue doctoral degrees, teachers, civil servants, and enterprise product research and development, with a consistently high employment rate. In recent years, the Mathematics discipline has further developed and played an important supporting role in the development of science and engineering in our university. Our teachers have close research cooperation with the ones in chemical engineering, materials, electromechanical, information, and management at our university, and have extensive academic exchanges with peers from domestic and foreign universities. In 2022, the Mathematics Department successfully established a second level doctoral program in Operations Research and System Control, bringing important opportunities for the development of the discipline. The Mathematics discipline has reached an advanced level in research on partial differential equation theory and applications, probability theory and mathematical statistics, optimization methods and applications, wavelet analysis and applications, and mathematical problems in engineering, both domestically and internationally. Every year, we undertake research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China or provincial and ministerial levels, and publish over 50 papers annually in academic journals and important academic conferences both domestically and internationally.
◇ Physics
The Department of Physics was granted the authority to confer a Master's degree in Condensed Matter Physics in 2003, and was awarded a Master's degree in the first level discipline of Physics in 2010. There are currently 7 professors and 13 associate professors. This discipline emphasizes the combination of basic research and applied technology research, and emphasizes the intersection with disciplines such as materials, chemistry, chemical engineering, and information technology. In recent years, the discipline has developed rapidly, publishing over 100 SCI indexed papers, and leading and participating in national key research and development programs, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Beijing Natural Science Foundation, and other provincial and ministerial level scientific research projects, which have played an important supporting role in the rapid development of our university's science and engineering disciplines. Since 2003, more than 300 master's students have been trained, and some graduates continue to pursue doctoral degrees abroad or domestically. Students work in institutions such as the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, the Institute of Engineering Physics, the Institute of Physics, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Optoelectronics, the Ministry of Space, the Institute of Electronics, BOE, and SMIC. They have now grown into backbone forces in scientific research, teaching, and economic activities.
◇ Electronic Science and Technology
The discipline of Electronic Science and Technology was awarded a first level master's degree in Electronic Science and Technology in 2022. There are currently 6 professors and 10 associate professors. This discipline focuses on fundamental scientific research in the fields of optoelectronic devices and technology, microwave materials and devices, wide bandgap semiconductor materials and devices, artificial electromagnetic materials and applications, emphasizing the combination of basic research and applied technology research, and highlighting the intersection with physics, materials, chemistry, chemical engineering and other disciplines. In recent years, the discipline has developed rapidly, publishing over 90 SCI indexed papers, undertaking more than 60 national, provincial, and national defense projects, and providing research funding of over 10 million yuan. Many scientific research achievements have had a certain impact internationally, and some of them have been applied and transformed.
