On March 15, Zhang Ping, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and President of the Institute of Mathematics and Systems Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, gave a special report entitled "On the Frontier Applications of Fourier Analysis and Partial Differential Equations" for students and teachers of our university. Wang Wei, Dean of the College of Mathematics and Physics, presided over the report.
Starting with Fourier method, Academician Zhang Ping explained the application of this classical theory in linear constant coefficient partial differential equations in a simple way. Using vivid mathematical cases and rigorous scientific logic, he enabled audiences to have a more intuitive and profound understanding of Fourier analysis. He then explained in detail the unique advantages of these methods in solving complex mathematical problems, opening the door to a new world of mathematics for the audience.
The report brings cutting-edge academic knowledge to teachers and students, and also provides them with valuable academic inspiration and thinking space. After the lecture, Academician Zhang Ping interacted with the students and answered questions.More than 300 teachers and students attended the lecture.
